I am having some odd issues with my touchpad on my new laptop.
1. Right click is not working properly. If I right-click then a left click happens (in touchpad settings, a right-click registers as a left click as well). 2. Click + drag with second finger is not working. I used to be able to alt + left-click and drag the window with my second finger. However, this is not working (two-finger scrolling and two/three finger taps work OK). Many thanks! I am on Kubuntu 14.10 with KDE 4.14.1 |

Relevant information would be the outputs of "xinput" and "lspci" (ideally of both machines)
You might have had a synaptics touchpad while your new NB has a pegatron one (or vv.) - what implies different driver and hardware features. |

I kept searching for a solution and apparently I have a clickpad. There is a section in `/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf` that says "This option enables the bottom right corner to be a right button on clickpads."
I added the line `Option "ClickPad" True` between `Setion "InputClass"` and `EndSection` right before the other `Option` statements and now I have a right click and I can click and drag with my second finger. Apologies for the trouble and thanks a lot for the reply. |
