Autostart scripts don't execute

Sat Apr 18, 2015 12:21 am
Hey everyone,

I'm having a strange issue, where scripts that I've asked to start with KDE via System Settings > Startup and Shutdown / Autostart don't seem to be executing.

I see them in ~/.config/autostart and they're chmod +X'd and they work fine if I run them from the command line, and their file name ends in .sh but they just don't run when Plasma starts up.

Here's what I have in my startscript.sh to start kwalletd (for owncloud), kdeconnect, ksuperkey and ownCloud:

Code: Select all
kwalletd
qdbus org.kde.kded /kded loadModule kdeconnect
ksuperkey
/usr/bin/owncloud

I'm running Kubuntu 14.10 with Plasma 5 and KF5.

Any ideas?

Bug reports:

- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343513

Workaround (working at here) is to create and use a desktop file.
