Hi all!
Newbie question after long searches in google: how do you disable KDE (or KF5, as I've been told) behavior of creating .part files first insteads of original filenames upon copying? Some info: Running NetRunner 15, KDE 5 Plasma While copying file in Dolphin from one location to another (in my case it was Samba share with limited permissions), the system creates *.part file first, then tries to rename it, an as permissions are limited, it ultimately fails leaving me with *.part file instead of original filename. (like instead of file.txt it becomes file.txt.part) The question is, can I turn off this behavior somehow, to always use original filename on copying? Thank you! |

try
Then for simplicity log out and back in. Notice that part files ensure atomic file handling on remote access - I'm not sure about implications of avoiding them (ie. there might be a risk of data loss on network failure; but I really don't know) |
