KCalc not recognizing Shift+[num]... (on laptop w/o numpad)

Hi there,

This seems like an odd thing, but KCalc doesn't seem to be recognizing certain keypresses (for example, when I press Shift+8 to multiply or Shift+= to add).

The keyboard doesn't have a numpad, these are all presses to the number row below the F1-F12 keys.

The keys all work in every other program. Any ideas?

The keys "work", but are not interpreted as mathematical instructions.
Consider using a calculator like speedcrunch or use the calculation feature of krunner - not sure whether kcalc is still maintained, but the approach to mimic a hardware tabletop calculator is not really ideal for a system that already brings a hardware keyboard - even "bc" does a better job here.

I ended up installing galculator and it works as expected. I checked out SpeedCrunch and it seems nice as well.

Not recognising (for example) "Shift+8" as the mathematical instruction to multiply seems like a pretty noticable bug to me, but If KCalc isn't being maintained I guess there's not really anything more to say.
