Hello,

First time I am posting here, I am new in KDE and I really like the way i can work on my computer with this desktop enviroment. I am on arch linux. As I mentioned in the subject title I installed infinality fonts and was trying to configure some things in kde. So now I dolphin does not open directories with single click even if in the dolphin options it is enabled. Also, some times it crashes when i go to configure dolphin from menu. Last thing is that I have issues with icons. I removed icon-cache but nothing
changed. I even removed all .config/kde and .config/plasma and .kde4 to restore kde to its default state, But dolphin remains as it was.

Also, this single click thing does not work in system settings too althoug it was working before. Any help would be appreciated!

You're using the breeze GUI style, are you (as the style ultimately controls the behavior)

If you changed it in dolphin and the kcm, there "should" probably be two entries (one of them actually being unused)
Find the line in the file, it should be in [KDE], not in [Mouse]

If it is, the config is ok, but the clients ignore it.
What happens if you run (from konsole)

Yes it exists under [KDE]. When I run this command from konsole nothing changes, only that icons got bigger.

There apparently *was* a bug in 5.1, but should be fixed in 5.2 and up:

I just upgraded to Kubuntu 15.10 and now I have this problem too: cannot use single-click.
it used to work fine in Kubuntu 15.05

The strange thing is that it works correctly on the Kubuntu Live USB

No, change for me. In my situation the problem is not only the single click but also the icons of folders in dolphin. It is very frustrating. I would like some advice on how to reinstall kde to reset all my settings etc. I have already deleted .config/files and .kde4 directory but no luck on that.

use dolphin4 instead of dolphin

It solves both the icons and the single click issues

I'm note sure, because I use Kubuntu and not archlinux, and for me the package dolphin4 was already installed.

Some googling tells me that for Arch Linux there is a package called dolphinpart4. You could try and install it.

Arch doesn't provided dolphin from SC4 anymore.
I'm however on arch as well and don't encounter any of this issues - do you also get them with a fresh user account?
