Hello all.
Here's a video of the issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k6xcrdmkaikwu ... 0.mp4?dl=0 Basically what happens, is every time I load into KDE, my username appears outside of the login box for about 10+ seconds. During this time, the login box is plain text.. and I can't login until it corrects itself. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of things I might be able to try to fix this.. maybe removing some cache file or something. I don't know. It's driving me insane though.. it adds an extra 10+ seconds to my boot time, and it happens every time I load into KDE. I'm on Mint 17.2 using default KDE 4.14.2. I have submitted a bug report already on the bug tracker, but obviously there's no guarantee this is going to get fixed, or that the fix is going to make its way into Mint. |

A capture of your clip: ![]() To me this seems to be a MDM: http://www.noobslab.com/2014/04/mdm-dis ... s-for.html
Maybe a Mint/Gnome forums can help on this ? Older KDE display manager is KDM - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KDE_Display_Manager. Current is the SDDM - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_De ... ay_Manager |
