file extention: *.ntp this is for Natron, but..

hi

file extention NTP, it is file project of NATRON
i add file extention NTP open with Natron, this is worked. but other file extention *.XML open to Natron..

so i check file extention XML but there is list application:Natron.. buy why?

maybe it problem "group" xml,ntp,etc etc all language of xml in ONE group of xml, that languange of ntp is XML...but i want not "group" i want single extention..
how?

Linux isn't file extention centric see http://www.howtogeek.com/192628/mime-ty ... xtensions/

iirc there's away to do this by scripting, something like create a script that tests for .ntp and if found open with NATRON else open with whatever you want XMLs opened with and use that script as the preferred app set in file associations

run "kcmshell5 filetypes", reconfigure the xml entry, remove natron from the list and *.ntp from the patterns.
Create a new mimetype, name it "application/ntp+xml" or similar. Add "*.ntp" to the patterns and assign it to natron.

And file a bug against "natron" to add a mimetype and desktop service for their stuff. That's not a users job.
