Hi,
recently I got a new MacBook which was delivered with OS X 10.11 (El Capitan). Since I'm a complete newcomer on Mac (always used Ubuntu before) setting up a working environment is quite difficult. After several days I finally managed to get macports and kate working (although the icons really look kind of blurred). I've activated the terminal plugin but in the area the terminal should be, there is only a grey box. So I've installed console (also via MacPorts) since on Ubuntu this probably would have solved the problem, but it didn't change anything. Does someone know how to fix it? |

You'll require the konsolepart (shipped with konsole) and kate and konsole must be the same major version (KDE SC4 or KF5)

Hi,
thanks for your reply. konsole and kate are both from KDE4. How can I get konsolepart if it's not included in the MacPort konsole installation? Also now there occurred other issues, like buttons disappearing, grey areas covering the code when editing and so on... In addition the font looks quite odd |

Sorry, I've no particular knowledge on OSX/MacPorts.
You'll need something like /usr/lib/kde4/libkonsolepart.so - that's all I can tell you. |
