In Plasma on Arch, I am trying to use Kwallet rather than disable it but I am confused with its functions.
I know I can automatically unlock Kwallet at login (Arch wiki shows). But I don’t want it and I just want to add NetworkManager with authorized access to wallet so NM can connect to known network without Kwallet’s password prompt. In Wallet Manager > kdewallet > Applications window, there is a “These applications are authorized to access this wallet" section with no applications mentioned. I think that is what I want. But I don’t find way to add NM to it. How can I add? And the other confusion, When I tried to login to my gmail account in Konqueror, I saved password to Kwallet. (Actually I don’t very remember) I thought it forces me to create new wallet because I remember I can not type my old Kwallet password. I think I created new wallet with new password. So I now have two Kwallet passwords. One is for NM to connect to network at every login and one is for entering passwords in Konqueror. However there is only one default wallet named as kdewallet in Wallet Manager. So how can I change password for entering passwords in Konqueror?

I don't even know how to explain my problem with KWallet any more.
Nobody seems understand my problem and has suggestion. I deleted all wallets in Wallet Manager but Konqueror is still accessing kdewallet and Kwallet is still asking password and I am still able to use password I set for it. Konqueror shows small kwallet icon at the right bottom of its window. If I right-click on that small icon, Close Wallet box appears and I can close the wallet. So where is the kdewallet Konqueror using. I deleted all wallets in Wallet Manager, it is empty now. |

It only has been one day since you posted your problem.
Konqueror is a KDE4 application. It uses the KDE4 kwallet. Your wallet manager is probably the KF5 version. To reset/configure the KDE4 kwallet, either install/use the KDE4 kwalletmanager (if available by your distribution), or delete/modify the config files directly. The settings should be in ~/.kde/share/config/kwalletrc, and the wallets themselves in ~/.kde/share/apps/kwallet/ (some distributions use ~/.kde4/ though). If you give your wallet an empty password (you are asked for a password you want to set when kwallet is started for the first time), you won't be asked for a password at all. Or there's also pam_kwallet, that should unlock kwallet at login without the need for a password, but I never tried that. |

Thanks for reply and very helpful answer.
And what about this:

You either disable the wallet password or it will ask for it when being opened, what happens when you (or NM) first try access it.
You cannot magically have some clients read the closed wallet ... |
