Kate: Ctrl+Tab Search

Fri Jun 17, 2016 1:26 am
I just upgraded from Fedora 21 to Fedora 23. I'm not sure what version of KDE/Kate I was running previously, but one feature I loved was that Ctrl+Tab would open a dialog that let me search documents and quickly switch. In the version on F23 (Kate 15.12.3), the Ctrl+Tab is now a floating window without a textbox input for searching documents. If I open it from View > Last Used Views, then I can type to switch, but Enter doesn't even work and I have to click the item to open it. Is there any way to revert to the old behavior?

The feature has moved to Ctrl+Alt+O. It would be nice if there was an option to use the Ctrl+Alt+O dialog on Ctrl+Tab instead of this new default.

Doesn't the 'Configure Shortcuts' setting work ?
