Is it possible to invoke a service menu on the drop action in Dolphin when dragging and dropping files or directories ?

Can a full on plugin be installed on the drop menu ?

I'd like to have the option of doing a cp in the background instead of doing a kio copy when dragging and dropping files. Any suggestions on how to implement this ?
