Hello guys,
I have used Konqueror since inception, mostly as a file management tool, to move stuff around different computers and folders. Using fish:// And since day 1, there is a problem with the last SLASH in the folder names. Namely: 1. unwanted functionality: fish://root@violetvaio:23822/www/uploads/crab/ is clearly a folder, however, when loading it, Konqueror tries to list all files in that folder, in the URL, as if I wanted to select any of the files in that folder. This is clearly a superflous behaviour. 2. Erroneous functionality: say I am in a sub-folder, for example: fish://root@violetvaio:23822/www/uploads/crab/test/ and I click the "UP-ARROW" on the menu bar on top, what will happen then is that the URL in Konqueror will change to: fish://root@violetvaio:23822/www/uploads/crab ****MISSING THE LAST SLASH**** This is clearly the main problem. And we can see this if I try to drag-drop a file into that window, sometimes, but only sometimes, it will come up with an error, which says: Cannot overwrite file "crab" , so, basically, the remote fishsrv.pl is assuming we want to overwrite the file, as the "crab" is missing the last slash, making it **NOT A FOLDER** I think it's time someone looked at this issue once and for all, and always remember: these are URLs: http://www.crab.com/ http://www.crab.com/index.html http://www.crab.com/crab2/ and these are not: http://www.crab.com http://www.crab.com/crab2 (same should apply to fish) cheers |
