kstart misplaces application

Wed Mar 01, 2017 3:52 am
I use
Code: Select all
kstart
in a script to start up multiple applications in different (virtual) desktops when I login in to my Desktop(standard debian/jessie KDE4).

the script looks like below:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
kstart --windowclass Emacs --desktop 1 -- /usr/bin/emacsclient -nc
kstart --windowclass Google-chrome --desktop 3 \
       /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome
kstart --windowclass Konsole --desktop 6 -- konsole -e 'mux coding'
kstart --windowclass Konsole --desktop 7 -- konsole -e 'mux coffee'
kstart --windowclass Konsole --desktop 8 -- konsole -e 'mux dinner'
kstart --windowclass Synergy --desktop 9 -- /usr/bin/synergy

But script is not worked out as my expectation, sometimes instead of putting 'dinner' konsole at desktop 8, 'coffee' konsole at desktop 7, 'coding' konsole at desktop 6, I get all konsole windows in one desktop or something like that.

I just totally lost, I need someone give me a clue what is going on.

Plasma 4 or plasma 5 ?

If plasma 5, try with the 'kstart5'.
