Hi,
I am new to Linux ecosystem, so I have few basic questions. Host machine is Win7 and Cent0S 7 is on VM.

1) KWRITE
I open an already existing file, and make some changes to it, and click Save. It prompts for 'overwrite', and I say YES. But the file is not updated at all.
2) Dolphin
a) Similar issue. I paste 'var/a.txt' on 'var1/a.txt'. Tool prompts for 'overwrite', and I say YES. But 'var1/a.txt' is not updated at all.
b) Dolphin R-click menu does not show DEL option. Should I have enable something to make this work.

This issue could be related to file-security; is there a setting that will 'force' the changes automatically.
If I can get these issues resolved that will help me be more fluent
