Hey!
I'm running Linux Mint 18 KDE 5 64-bit. When I record videos of my desktop with OBS I often change my Plasma Panel configuration or placement so the panels don't get in the way (no need to record the trash that's there). I really wish I could have a preset, or I wish the Workspaces could have separate Panel configurations (that'd make it easier for me). Since these are big changes that probably won't happen anytime soon if at all, I winder - can I hack something up with a shell script? TL;DR I wish I could prepare myself a bash script to for example hide one of my panels, or move it to a different screen and screen edge temporarily, or switch it to Auto-Hide from Always-Visible and back after I'm done. Is that kind of funky business possible in KDE 5? Can I manipulate the Plasma Panels in realtime from terminal? |

Are you aware of the Plasma Interactive Console? Just asking
But note it won't accept bash scripts, only Javascript. More reading here: https://userbase.kde.org/KDE_System_Adm ... pScripting https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tu ... /Scripting |

Thanks! I didn't know of the Plasma Interactive Console.. Is there a way to send a command to that from a Bash script?
Can I have two commands that will hide or show a specific plasma panel? |
