Auto upgrade system in Neon

Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:53 am
I've seen a few posts asking to disable auto update check. I want the opposite, i.e., automatic update and further, automatic upgrade, basically `apt update && apt upgrade`.

Ideally, the user should have the option set up a period update and upgrade.

I think this could be done via a cron job, but a GUI utility would be much nicer.

My 2 cents. :)

The Neon is using the Debian packaging system and using Ubuntu as core - https://neon.kde.org :
...using a stable Ubuntu long-term release as its core...

The Debian/Ubuntu:
- Unattended Upgrades (Debian) : https://wiki.debian.org/UnattendedUpgrades
- Automatic Updates (Ubuntu): https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide ... dates.html
