Hi everybody !
First I must say I'm a rookie on Ubuntu I got it to work on my Intel Imac only three days ago, and on top of that I'm french, and switching to Ubuntu from a MacOSX environment. And not very good with Terminal command lines. So please be patient with me ! ;)

Now here is my problem :
When I start KDE Partition Manager, it says I don't have admin privilege although I have set my account to admin in gnome's "Users and Groups".
Restarted and all, to no avail.

Any ideas ?

hi,

enter in a terminal:

sudo -l

that'll give your sudoer status and should contain:

User yourusername may run the following commands on yourcomputer:
(ALL : ALL) ALL

if it doesn't, try from the admin account [the account created during the installation]:

sudo adduser yourusername sudo

but change yourusername to your actual username
