I've been searching this forum now for hours to no avail. So I'm asking a question that's been asked before. Unfortunately none of the previous solutions worked for me.
Kwallet manager keeps popping up on login asking me for a password which I never set up because I don't want to use Kwallet. It says kded5 is requesting a password. I cancel and the I have to give manually my wifi password every time. Pretty annoying. Same for my VPN connection. It won't let me make changes to the network manager either. I've been using KDE for years in Kubuntu or Mint. This never happened before. At the moment Mint 18.2 and Plasma 5. I just reinstalled Mint and that's when the problem popped up. By the way my wifi password was stored in the network manager before Kwallet started misbehaving. If I can't find a solution I will have to finally give up KDE, because this is absolutely annoying. Please don't refer to any of the previous posts. Tried all of the suggestions, nothing worked. |

Hi
Would have been helpful if you told what you already tried... So you won't use the wallet system or you want it to work? To disable: System Settings - Account Details - KDE Wallet - disable "Enable the wallet subsystem". To reset it, it would be the easiest to just delete the old one and create a new, or hit "Launch Wallet Manager" and remove the disturbing entries. |
