konqueror no longer an option ?

Wed Nov 22, 2017 12:44 pm
Hello guys,

I have been using konqueror for the last 15 years to move files around , connecting to remote machines using fish:// etc.
But after an update to Fedora 27, konqueror looks like just another program (FSview)

is there a chance to tell konqueror to view folders the same way as before ?

or is there a chance to use fish:// with dolphin ?

You should be able to switch the view from FSView to the usual file manager view by using View -> View Mode -> (Icons, Details or Compact as you desire).

You can also use fish:// (and other KIO urls) with dolphin.
A useful feature in dolphin is that when you click the path bar to switch to edit mode and then clear the path it will show a dropdown which lists the various KIO prefixes that you can use.
