Konqueror 5.0.97 lost all my bookmarks. It won't use my existing profiles, and I can't call it using "konqueror" nor "kfmclient openProfile myprofilename".

I especially want to find my bookmarks but I also want to call it with my existing profiles that determine what folder it opens with.

Any ideas where I can find my 50 ftp bookmarks that used to work seamlessly with kwallet?

Typing "konqueror" from the command line does nothing. Using "kfmclient" gives me the message that it's only parameters are to open a url and to open a new tab. When I use a directory name it opens as if it's opening a web page with about:blank. The man page still shows everything from version 4. How do I call it now?

At here,

Code: Select all
$ konqueror -v
konqueror 5.0.97

Code: Select all
konqueror --help

is telling:

--profile <profile> Profile to open (DEPRECATED, IGNORED)

A bug report - yours ? - Bug 388373 - Update to 5 lost all my bookmarks : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388373
Upgrading to 5.0.97 lost all my bookmarks.

If you upgraded from the KDE4 version of the Konqueror then the bookmarks were saved to the $HOME/.kde4/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml. Some distributions are using $HOME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml.

With the KDE Frameworks 5 the bookmark path is: $HOME/.local/share/konqueror/bookmarks.xml
