baloo returning incorrect search results

I've scanned the bug reports on baloo (and they are numerous), but I didn't come across one with the issue I'm finding. Running baloo 5.40.0, with 523783 / 523783 files indexed and a 7.33 GiB database, I find that baloosearch (and krunner) often returns incorrect results. For example, I might do a simple search for a word like "camper" or something, and it will bring up search results that don't actually contain that word. Some of the erroneous search results aren't from PDFs or other crazy formats--these are simple text files. If I use grep -i "searchword" on the text file grep returns no match. A kfind search for the word also--correctly--does not match the file. However, if I 'balooctl clear' the file, and then 'balooctl index' it again, baloosearch continues to incorrectly match the file to certain words that are not present in the file.

Before I file a bug report, I'm curious to know if there's some way to debug/examine the baloo database and perhaps get a clue as to what's going on in order to make the bug report more useful. Otherwise, there's not much I can do other than delete the database and start over again to see if the issue returns.
