When I try to copy a file over 2GiB with smb: protocol to a remote share, I get a "can't write to ..." error the moment remote file reaches 2GiB.

If I mount the same share with mount.cifs, no such problem occurs.
/etc/fstab entry looks like this:
Code: Select all
//silfarion.xlink/Videos   /mnt/cifs-silfarion   cifs   noauto,credentials=/etc/credentials-silfarion,uid=1000,gid=1000,iocharset=utf8 0 0

How can I get over this limitation?
I'm running recent version of Samba, 4.7.5.
