Hi there,

Once a week I do a long and boring backup using backintime over network to a ssh server and during hours my display doesn't shutdown or even dim. On battery applet I'm informed that the application is preventing power management but I don't need the display on to do a unattended backup.

How can I prevent backintime or any other application to suppress power management?

Thanks,
Joel Teixeira

Ditto on this request. I have an issue with Hipchat outlined in this thread https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=132347 and wish to have power management ignore Hipchat.

I feel your pain buddwm, I read your post and is just creep like mine. Hard to understand why a ful featured DE like KDE can't properly handle this.
