Hello,
I want to start writing some Terraform templates. Is there any syntax highlighting already in place that I could use? (I have no idea about TF, so, it's very important to me!) If there is no such thing, can someone point me a link where I could learn how to create one? I see that there are a few templates for other editors, so, probably I can do the convention. |

To see if there are any new highlighters, Kate has a feature under Settings -> Open/Save -> Modes & Filetypes for downloading updated definitions (including any new hightlighters in the provided repo).
There's also a category in the Kde Store for Kate addons which includes many user-created syntax files. Some instructions are available in the docs about how to write your own highlighters.

Unfortunately, the Download option is not working... It can find the updates but it doesn't update them (but that's a different problem).

Hi,
Today there is some terraform syntax highlighting in Kate, there: https://kate-editor.org/syntax/ and more specifically here: https://kate-editor.org/syntax/data/syn ... raform.xml This terraform.xml shall be put into ~/.local/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax/ as explained there: https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/synta ... troduction At least this works with my Kate 21.04.3. Cheers, m. |

Very late response, yes.
But I have to admit the answer was just amazing! Does anyone knows how to install the XML files for all users? I want to add them in my configuration playbook and I don't want to have this per-user. |
