Is there a way to disable saving of passwords in klipper from a password manager like lastpass.

I don't think so. But why does klipper have your passwords to begin with?
I am not familiar with it, so I can't say, but should Lastpass itself have a a setting to keep that from happening, to clear the clipboard?

Klipper is KDE's clipboard manager.
It has a lot of powerful features and one of them is to ignore certain apps for actions but not sure how to make it ignore lastpass within the firefox browser. I don't wan't lastpass to clear the clipboard. Its hand to have items remembered in it for furture copy and paste. I want to configure Klipper to ignore my password manager. |

So i guess my question is, how is lastpass putting your passwords into the clip board?
I played with Lastpass for about 5 mins (a clean Chromium browser setup), I did not see any of my passwords in klipper. I am sure I did not use it enough, so I am no expert. I also could not really find anyone out there with previous complaints or concerns on the topic.

Figured a video was easier way to show you how I was using it for it to get copied to the clipboard. |

Looking at the docs for Klipper, you probably want to configure klipper to Ignore Selection
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kde-work ... modes.html and more on the linux clipboard here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Clipboard It is actually Xorg that provides the action where you select a text, and middle mouse click to paste. A clipboard manager, such as Klipper not only has a history function, but also can synchronize the PRIMARY and SELECTION parts of the clipboard system. I am guessing that this makes Klipper and any other manager really not application aware, as it is reading data from the windowing system, and does not known what or where it came from. if you set Klipper to ignore selection, any text simply selected (the SELECTION component) can be middle mouse pasted, but is not synchronized to the Clipboard, which normally contains content explicitly copied via ctrl-c, or mouse right-click action. Now, I am not a programmer or developer, so my quick research could be faulty. It is also unlikely that anyone who codes Klipper is going to notice a forum thread, it may be worth filing a bug/wishlist on it on bugs.kde.org.
