Moving files to Google Drive simply deletes them

Hi,

I just tried to move two large tar.gz files to my Google Drive using the "Kio" Dolphin integration. I just dragged and dropped them over. The system claimed to move them, an indeed they are now gone from the source directory, but they also aren't in the Drive root where I pasted them. So basically I just lost a few dozen gigs of raw photos because of this (at least I still have the JPGs...).

I searched my SSD for the files, but indeed they seem to have disappeared. I'm now trying to get them back with photorec. I'm honestly shocked that such a bug is even possible, if maybe there is some reason the file couldn't be uploaded there should just be a warning or something. (BTW there was enough free storage in my Google Drive).

Can someone replicate this?
[*]Take two tar.gz files, one about 30GB and one about 5GB
[*]Cut and paste them to the root of your Drive - gdrive:/your-email@example.org

Don't use valuable files, obviously... :'( :'( :'(

I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 with the neon PPA.
