Wifi adapter DWA-171

Tue May 21, 2019 10:57 pm
Hello, I'm having troubles while trying to install the drivers for my D-link wifi adapter in Kubuntu 19.04 (kernel 5.x). I asked for help directly to D-link, but with no results (they said that the support is limited for Windows and Macs only and the drivers are not compatible with the new kernel). I found a github repository 'https://github.com/whitebatman2/rtl8821CU.git' for my type of adapter (rtl8821CU), but, again, I can't make it works. I tried the whitebatman2 suggestions and using "sudo su", but I always get an error after the 'make' command.
To my understanding the 'dkms' should resolve the issue, but I don't know how to properly use it (the whitebatman2 procedure doesn't work for me).
Anyone can help me?
Thank you.

Cheers.

P.S. Sorry for any mistake, but this is my very first post in this forum
