Hello everyone,

Hopefully this is the correct place to post this as this is my first time posting here.
I recently got myself a thinkpad and im attempting my second arch install. after getting everything setup and installing Konsole I tried adding themes.
In the appearance menu within konsole if I click on get new and select any of the themes that appear and select install I get the error below
Code: Select all
Download of "SELECTED THEME" failed, error: Socket operation timed out

is there any way to fix this weird error?

OS
I can't reproduce this error, the theme installed quite fine.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I have the same problem on my system. I installed kde on ubuntu 22.04.
system information:
Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-39-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
I cant' even update packages if they are from "knewstuff"
Somebody said in another topic to reinstall "knewstuff" but I can't figure out how to do so in ubuntu. He was using arch.
