Chrome "Show in folder" opening Nautilus instead of Dolphin

This one is weird. It was working fine until a week ago, perhaps tickled by a Chrome update...

If I use Chrome's "Show in folder" feature, it opens the directory in Nautilus.

This is strange, because:

1) Default applications correctly shows Dolphin as the default
2) It used to work correctly
3) Other applications still seem to work correctly.

I've tried re-setting the default to Dolphin, but no luck.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Some apps, e.g., code-oss and sublime also browse files using nautilus even though nautilus is not installed and dolphin is the default file manager. Vlc, vivaldi and some other apps browse files using dolphin.

A hackish workaround you can employ is to set up /usr/bin/nautilus as a symlink to dolphin:
Code: Select all
# if you have nautilus installed:
sudo mv /usr/bin/nautilus /usr/bin/nautilus_actual

# create the symlink:
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/dolphin /usr/bin/nautilus

That way anything that tries to invoke nautilus will use dolphin instead.
