Could anyone advise what I must do to restore Kate shortcuts and snippets from a backup to a fresh install?

I'm recovering my system after a meltdown. I'm getting data and settings from my old, broken linux installation, and restoring them in a fresh installation.

I reinstalled Kate, and copied across what config files I could find in ~/.local/share and ~/.config. This restored my sessions, colour scheme and snippets. But none of my keyboard shortcuts are restored. I had set numerous shortcuts for simple editing tasks. They are still lost. Further, though the snippets are restored, the keyboard shortcuts for snippets don't seem to work at all. I can see all my old snippets, and Kate seems to let me invoke them; and when I open a snippet, I can see it's keyboard shortcut there. But when I try to operate the snippet with the keyboard shortcut, nothing happens. I have tried to re-assign the snippet shortcuts, and that doesn't work either.

This all suggests, on the one hand, I've not restored my keyboard shortcuts. And it suggests that there is some fault that prevents those shortcuts I have restored from working.

So which config files should I get and what config settings should I set, to restore my shortcuts and to get my snippet shortcuts working again?
