Hi Guys. I'm new here.
I've recently started using the Kate Editor. I wanted to know that if I click on a line 3 times, the whole line is marked plus the beginning of the next line. Can I stop the beginning of the next line from not being marked?

Hi!

Is kate really marking something in the new line? The default behavior (at least in my kates) is to mark the whole line and place the cursor after the linebreak (which does belong to the marked line).

Hi koffeinfriedhof

No, just add a new line when you 3 click to copy/paste so, when you paste you will have your copied line + a new line below. The proper behavior (for me) would be that you copy only the line of text when you 3 click and no the whole line + linebreak

I mean, as gedit...

There is a commit from December 2018, where enhanced mouse options were implemented. But I do not know how to access them as I'm currently bound to a mouseless system, but it seems some input devices support changing the triple-select-method: → Mouse-Settings.
