Hi,

in my machine, I have three internal disks: 1 is the original with Windows (preinstalled) / 2 is with Kubuntu / 3 is with KDE Neon

I'm using KDE Neon as primary system, and I'd like to format for "storage use" the 2nd one (Kubuntu).

Which is the best KDE app for formatting it (graphical, if possible)? May I use KDE Partition?

Which is the best FS to use, considering that I could use it also through Windows?

For disk formatting, you should go with a partition manager, as you need to have the disk unmounted anyway.
As for File System, I would think NTFS to be a good choice, especially if you want to use it with Windows as well, avoid ext formats.

So, KDE Partition seems to be suitable to do the job.
One doubt: NTFS seems a good choice, but is Linux able to work smoothly with it? Wouldn't be better ExFat?

Linux nowadays can handle NTFS quite well, unless you do data compression. I always saw ExFAT more for external disks and SSDs, but yes, it is of course a good choice too

Thank you for your reply. I forgot to update the thread: with KDE Partition Manager, I delete all its partitions and create a new volume. I finally chose NTFS, for compatibility purposes (maybe I need to use it with Windows, maybe not, because it's not my primary OS). The job went very well, first I checked it deeply with GSmartControl, and made some storage tests: now I have a 2TB storage internal disk!
