num lock permanently on - change back to default behaviour

Hello everyone,

I think at some point I ran some commands in terminal to permanently enable NumLock. Now I wish to return to the default behaviour and I'm not sure how. Toggling the settings in System Settings -> Keyboard makes no difference. Any ideas?
