Hi,
I installed a tool and since then, it is the default viewer for mostly all file types (except a few ones). Whatever I check in Settings -> Applications -> File Associations, the tool appears as the first one. I checked the tools .desktop file location using rpm -qe <programname> and took a look. But there it only defines a very specific mime type. There is also some xml file but this also defines only two specific glob patterns. I have no idea why KDE wants to use it as default for mostly all files. Is there a way I can remove such global association without uninstalling the software? |

Hm. It looks like it became the default viewer for any text/plain files. After I re-assigned Kate as viewer for any text/plain files, it behaves mostly normal. No clue how come. Maybe it was accidentially assigned by myself a few days ago?
I found no way to delete a post, so I think I answered by myself. Sorry. |
