Kate: letter f

I have noticed that in Kate when writing the letter "f" 2 times in a row, it automatically shrinks them.
It seems that it only makes this with this letter. It looks awful and stands easily out in a text. Any possibility of making it appear just like the others? |

I can't reproduce this here, do you use some particular keyboard layout that might have something triggering this behavior? Which fonts do you use?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
