Hibernate ends plasma session

Sat Nov 14, 2020 7:48 pm
Hi,

I am trying to hibernate my laptop. When I do hibernate with leave menu, it goes down but when it starts again, the open session is not there anymore (eg my open apps are closed). If I do
Code: Select all
systemctl hibernate
it briefly locks the screen and does the above behavior. The logind log seems to contain no error.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
Kernel Version: 5.7.0-2debian-amd64
OS Type: 64-bit

It is the latest plasma available in my system.

You need a swap partition or file that is at least a little larger than the amount of ram you have, in order to hibernate. Do you have enough swap space?

This may be a more Debian specific question, not necessarily related to KDE or Plasma.

It was initramfs RESUME issue. I had wrong uuid. Not a plasma issue at all
