Hello,

I have an instument which is based on a Pentium platform hardware using SUSE 10.0 / KDE 3.5 .
I need to add a USB to WiFi module and want to check:

1 - what adapter should I buy which is compatible with my device ?
2 - what software /driver should I load or fetch?

Many thanks in advice!

KDE is pretty hardware independent, it uses what the system provides, aka the kernel.

So the only thing that matters is to know which hardware is supported by the kernel running on the device. You should ask this in a kernel specific forum IMHO.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
