Filelight: how to ignore a file?

Mon Nov 16, 2020 6:43 pm
I'd like Filelight to ignore my swapfile ('/swapfile') when I scan the root directory (/); however, there is no visible option to exclude files from a scan.
There is one to exclude folders (and not individual files), but my swapfile is in the root directory so that won't work.
Does anyone know of a way I can force Filelight to ignore it, or possibly identify some patch for it that I could build and install?
Thanks in advance.

Did you actually try just adding /swapfile in the exclude list?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Yes. It won't display files in the dialog, only folders, and manually typing /swapfile adds / as an exclusion.
BTW I'm running Plasma 5.20 on Arch if it helps.

can't really help here, I use a SWAP partition, not a swap file
