Hello,
after many years as a Gnome user I just switched to KDE and hope you can help me. I was used to having .cache, temporary files and as much stuff as possible on tmpfs to avoid disk writes, but it seems KDE relies heavily on its cache so I don't know if I can do the same or losing those data can cause issues later. I saw an old (2014) guide about exporting KDETMP and KDEVARTMP so that they point to tmpfs, is this still a valid/correct solution? Or, are there any recent guides that can help me with what I'm trying to accomplish in KDE? Thanks in advance. |
