Dear all,
I hope that you can help me as I can not find the answer. In my workflow I often drag images directly from Chrome to a folder in order to save them. This works fine in KDE as long as it is a stand alone image, However as soon as the image has a link embedded it seems to copy the page it links to and not the image, Using another Desktop Environment or even Windows or Mac OS Chrome copies/saves the image no problem but in KDE it copies the linked web page, Reproducing the problem is easy. Just open Chrome or Chromium (I tried both) and do a random image search. Then try to drag and drop the image and it will save the linked page instead of the image. The problem occurs on both KDE Neon as well as Manjaro KDE Plasma. I even tried to install another file manager as default but that also did not help. Now I love the look and feel of KDE and really want to use it, it is just little issue that is affecting my workflow that I would love solved. How can I change the default behavior of KDE that seems to overwrite the default behavior of Chrome/Chromium? Or is there maybe another work around that allows me to drag and drop images with embedded links in an easy way (not right click save as, this is to many clicks and really slows me down). Thanks for any help! |
