Hey all, I just switched from Manjaro KDE to Fedora KDE, which doesn't come with yakuake that I'm used to. I installed it using dnf, checked all the configuration settings that I'll list, but it's only opening from the middle of the screen instead of coming from the top like it should and I don't know what else to check.
Configure Yakuake: Window: Size and Animation: Width: 80% Height: 50% Duration: ~170ms Position: Slider: In the center between left and right Open on Screen: At Mouse Location |

I solved this for me. Posting here since this was the first result when I googled my issue.
The problem was in Window Management settings (KWin I suppose). Go to "systemsettings -> Window Management -> Window Behavior -> Advanced" and change "Placement" to "Minimal Overlapping" (something else would probably work too, but this worked for me). |

Thank you so much. This solved it for me as well after unsuccessful attempts at fixing it using Window Rules.
