I would like to see my external hard drive automatically mounted. What I see is during boot the external hard drive is connected - witch I conclude from the blue light witch turn on from the external hard drive case. But after the system is operational I have to manually mount the external hard drive.

I installed usbmount witch has no effect on the operation as I can see it, in affect it disable me to past and make new file on the external hard drive.

Any help would be welcome, to solve this situation

Hi!

I do not know usbmount, so I cannot help you with this tool. But normally one uses UDEV to create rules for external devices. It does not depend on the disk beeing plugged in at boot, but will trigger always you plug it.

There are settings for this in System Settings >> removable storage.

Was enabled: Enable automatic mounting of removable media
I had also to enable: Only automatically mount removable media that has been manually mounted before

Was enabled: Mount all removable media at login
Was enabled: Automatically mount removable media when attached

Thanks for your help.
