Can't login to Plasma after update

Wed Apr 06, 2022 8:36 am
I've recently updated my KDE Neon to the newest version via Discover. Booting to system and SDDM goes well. But when I try login with plasma desktop environment(wayland or X11), it shows black window and text, and then brings me back to SDDM. Previously, I've installed Gnome on my Kde Neon, and it works fine. I also can't really see any errors in .xsession-errors. Other kernels in Grub don't work neither.

What can I do to recover my Plasma environment? I can use Gnome for some time, but it is really inconvenient

Hi!

Please check `journalctl -b -p warning` for all errors and warnings since last reboot. In parallel try following the update-process via terminal emulator using
Code: Select all
pkcon update && pkcon refresh

Yes, thanks a lot! Fixed it.

As I understood, this is the error that directly caused it:
Code: Select all

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.
