Kate Modes & Filetypes

Sun May 08, 2022 7:27 pm
I am not sure how to configure Kate in such a way that it will open files with a specific extension with other than the default settings. E.g. files with the extension .txtw shall be opened with ISO 8859-15 encoding and DOS/Windows end of line, all others with UTF-8 and UNIX style. https://kate-editor.org/2006/02/09/kate-modes-filetypes/#:~:text=To%20create%20a%20filetype%2C%20go,and%20press%20the%20Delete%20button. gives an example, but I am not sure how to apply it in this case.

Thanks for your input and help!
