I use KRename extensively for batch rename.
And because my file naming follows certain rules, it helps when I have specific settings to reduce smilar typing hassles. One of the features which I think would really be useful, is the "option to stack settings". For eg. I have a regular expression A to remove CRC checksum from file name. And I have regular expression B to replace specific phrase. And regular expression C to capitalize certain words. And regular expression D to remove other words. Regular expression B, C, D may conflict with each other, depending on the file names. So, I may want to stack A+B+C in 1 usage, and A+B+D in another scenario. However, currently I cannot stack the 3 expressions together, and I need to run KRename 3x to complete the renaming process. And I cannot include all 4 regular expressions into 1, because they may just conflict with each other. So, when "Load Settings", it would be good to have an option to "stack" multiple regular expressions ("Load multiple settings"?), so as to reduce the necessity to run KRename multiple times on single batch file renaming. |
