How portable is the khotkeysrc file? If I back it up, can I reasonably expect it to work on another KDE install of the same minor version (Currently on 5.18.4)? How about all major versions, say the entire 5.x line?

I see that e.g. my Custom Shortcuts are stored in a fashion that has a pseudo-namespaced name Data_4_1_3 but doesn't seem to explicitly state that this is a Custom Shortcut. Outside this file I find no other references to Data_4_1_3.

Code: Select all
[Data_4_1_3]
Comment=Switch to Firefox
Enabled=true
Name=Switch to Firefox
Type=SIMPLE_ACTION_DATA

[Data_4_1_3Actions]
ActionsCount=1

[Data_4_1_3Actions0]
CommandURL=wmctrl -a "Mozilla Firefox"
Type=COMMAND_URL

[Data_4_1_3Conditions]
Comment=
ConditionsCount=0

[Data_4_1_3Triggers]
Comment=Simple_action
TriggersCount=1

[Data_4_1_3Triggers0]
Key=Meta+8
Type=SHORTCUT

With some more digging I see that for `~/.config/khotkeysrc` to be useful, the `~/.config/kglobalshortcutsrc` file is necessary to associate the UUID `4870836f-7d79-4fe0-80bf-b1a390912e20`. Is there anything else I'll need?
