My window manager is Xfce, but I am having a problem with all Kde applications.
When I want to open a file, the file selection window freezes for long minutes, working for only a few seconds each time.
The windows at that time come back to the foreground at regular intervals.
With Skrooge, it is impossible to add my invoices to my transactions (last time, I gave up after 15 minutes).
All have the same problem.

I just switched from Xfce to full KDE.
I thought it might be easier to find out what's wrong with the fully loaded KDE Plasma desktop environment.
