In my opinion KDE's kiosk capabilities are very very VERY important to get kde accepted in a wider range especially for enterprise desktops..
for example: i wan't to use KDE in school (on usb thumbdrives where restriction doesn't matter) but also in the classrooms where i have to restrict some functionality. i think one should give the KIOSK mode (and the documentation) some love and provide a good graphical administrator tool .. there is one in extragear but it should be in the mainline or at least properly packaged.

there is another usecase for this kiosk mode.. parents! i think i am not the only one who installed a kde distribution on their parents pc
i would really like to lock plasmoids, panels, icons, activities (toolbars in apps) so parents (or students) wouldn't accidentally remove the systemtray or even worse... the taskmanager (and by locking i mean hide the damn "unlock" menu entry so it stays locked) i think a systemsettings module would be very nice....

developers - please have a look at this topic.. it's about kiosk mode and some errors i found (plasma related) - maybe you can tell me what would be the best approach to get rid of the errors (those are maybe just errors in the documentation - i would definitely work on the docs if i had a clue ^^) .. thx
