Get Hot New Stuff follows already the idea of bringing Internet data to the desktop. I really like using it, especially choosing wallpapers or plasmoids.
The only drawback of GHNS is that it is hidden in all the applications using it.

I really appreciate a central place where we can choose all addons from the internet, like a GHNS store. This store will check of installed applications that have the GHNS ability, and display them in a list, associated to the downloadable content for them. Some applications that have GHNS might not want to appear in the store (maybe because their GHNS is not that important, as in cantor), but others should definitely appear, like desktop, marble, plasmoids.

BTW, I use the term store since it have been made mainstream by apple inc. Of cause, a better name should be found !
