This post is part of a global idea that aims to integrate Internet into KDE workspace (See here)

Forums are like mails. Threads, responses etc. And I'm too lazy to visit all the different forums where I'm suscribed. But, my mail client is always on. Why not integrates forums as mails. Actually, this might not be suited, but a forum viewer, based on Akonadi might be integrated in Kontact. It might ressemble to KNode or KMail.

This application might show new messages of forums as new messages, and subforum as different folders. Replying to a post from the app is like posting a new reply.

This app might start by supporting only KDE forum, and extend to other forums, since I don't know if there is any API related to forums.

1) you can use "subscribe forum" to receive emails for selected forums, is part of the "new topic" button

2) you can use "feed" (to the left of "logged in as") to create your own custom forum rss feeds, this allows you to receive all forum activity or only that which meets your criteria

What I want is a software that can replace my browser for browsing forums. So I need to be able to have a "read write" access, and both emails and RSS are "read only"
